Thanks!!!! You've been a great help! I'm still going to have to work on
converting my iTunes to mp3s as they are a diff. format, but I think this
is
discussed in some other threads. I'm new to MCE, and I'm trying to utilize
it
to it's full potential. It'd be nice to record, oh say, the Dallas
Maverick
Vs. Phoenix Suns series and convert it to be able to put on DVD. Dunno if
it
is possible, but I will play around with it. And just like everyone else
here, I want to be able to play my music using the Extender on my 360 in
my
living room's surround sound system. So I will need to convert, edit tags,
etc. to get it working properly. Sure it time consuming it'd be nice if
Windows came out with an update to correct the issue soon, but that'd be a
rather large update! Anyway, long story short ... thanks for all the
help!!!
If you know of any other common issues that I may run into please let me
know
in advance!! I'd greatly appreciate it!!! THANKS SO MUCH!

The default recorded tv directory is C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Documents\Recorded TV
If you changed the drive in MCE, then it'd be in <Drive Letter>:\Recorded
TV

As for tagging of mp3s, I'd recommend you do it outside of MCE (it's just
way more time efficient).
You can use Media Player to do this, or any of the many mp3 tagging
programs
out there.

Gary,

Thanks for the information!! Does this mean I should delete the
previous
recordings? I hadn't tried watching live TV and seeing if it froze, I
only
watched the previously recorded shows. Also, is there a directory that
Windows saves these files to that can be accessed to convert and burn
into
a
DVD format? It seems as MCE is a little more complicated than Microsoft
lets
on with the issue with the tagging of the mp3s files, etc.

The updated driver only fixes all recordings/live tv after its
installation.

Recordings made before the installation of the updated CPU driver
unfortunately have screwed up time indices, so they can't be fixed
(the
damage is already done).

JW/RWP,

I have the same system and I downloaded the driver from the AMD site
but
it
doesn't seem to be resolving the problem. Is there something else I
need
to
do after installing the driver? I just want to watch my recording
without
them freezing after a few minutes! Please!! Any help would be
GREATLY
appreciated!! THANKS!!

Thanks for the info, I am new at this and can not find the

Thanks

Go to the ATM Website and download and install the latest XP
X2
driver
and
it should fix this problem since it appears that you have one
of
the
many
Gateway systems using the AMD X2 CPU chip with a way out of
date
CPU
driver
installed on it.

Can someone please help me with this?I just bought a Gateway
GM5072,
when
I
go to the media center to watch TV it will work fine for
about
4
minutes
then
it starts to act as if it is wanting to pause, at first it
is
like
a
skip,
but continues, then after about a minute of doing this it
will
pause
for
a
minute then continue sometimes maybe longer than a minute,
this
is
my
second
Gateway in 3 daysof this Model, the first one I updated all
the
updates
before going to media center and thought maybe a update did
this,
