MCE ddoes not have a built in DVD burner.
There are other programs available, however, since I don't burn DVDs I am
not sure wht they are. Another a previous release of one version of Nero 6
was popular. Hopefully someone else will provide you an asnwer on this
thread. Your first objective should be to get MCE working again.

If I uninstall nero, what do i use to burn dvds...does mce have a dvd
burning software in it?

Installation of Nero7 has cause lots of CODEC/Dvd
Decoder problems with MCE. I suggest that you uninstall Nero and then
reinstall your MCE compatiable DVD decoder that came with your system or
try
the Free 30 day trial of the NVIDIA Decoder from their Website.

Hey all,
I know everyone has experience stuttering with MCE....but this is
weird. I used to be able to view dvds fine on MCE. Recently, any dvd
I put in (ripped or not) will be very slow and stuttery. This occurs
in both MCE and media player. When i play the movie with Nero viewer
it works fine. Anything from my hard drive works fine in any player.
It is basically dvds that dont work in just mce and media player. I
either want to default nero to be the screen that pops up instead of
MCE or fix this issue. I prefer the latter, but from reading all the
previous posts it doesnt look like its possible. For the record i have
a Dell e1505 dual core 1.74Ghz. I am very confused at how this started
happening. I did download a codec pack...could this be the problem?
If anyone has any ideas or needs any clarifications let me know!
Thanks!
Justin
