I entered "medctrro.exe /o/p RunOnce" at the C:\Windows\ehome prompt. The
hour glass started blinking so I believe it was accepted. That did not fix my
problem. When I was setting up the internet connection in the Media Center
program (after rebooting) I received the error "Critical Process failure" and
a locked computer .

Sorry Pagra

From a command prompt window, use the normal path

C:\Windows\ehome\medctrro.exe /o /p RunOnce

To use the %WINDIR% variable, just click Start, Run and enter the command

%windir%\ehome\medctrro.exe /o /p RunOnce

It is supposed to have the spaces.

Downloading and reinstalling .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 went fine. Entering cmd
in run brought me to the C:\> prompt. However typing
"%windir%\ehome\medctrro.exe/o/pRunOnce" at the c prompt gave me the error"
cannot find path specified"
I typed this several ways with and without spaces. I also typed "run" at the
start of the line.I just not doing something correct.

Hi, All that you have said is mostly over my head. I know that the
three
symptoms you listed (Registration Failure, Critical Process Failure and
Tuner
Not Found) are the only errors I get. I'm also a new user. Should I
just
keep
ckecking back?
Thank you
