I know you can get a Sapphire Theatrix Theatre 550 Pro Lite-Version (it is
just 'card' only... no cables, no remote, just the card). It should work
just as well as the ATI product (it still uses ATI chips and all that).
I've seen this product at various stores up here in Canada, so it should
just as well be available elsewhere.
I don't think ATI themselves make a bare kit version of their ATI TV Wonder
Elite product (i.e. it only comes in the retail boxed version) but I could
be wrong (I've just never seen it sold that way).

Hi all:
I recently replaced the ati theatre 550 pro tuner card in my computer
due
to failure. I replaced it with the Hauppauge PVR 150 card. Didn't have
FM
and the picture isn't as good as the ati card was. So, I thot I'd add an
ati 550 tuner as a second card but already have two remotes and all the
software. I can't seem to find a way to buy the ati tuner card without
the
remote. Is something like that available? I was surprised to see that
the
Hauppage card has only 3 recording qualities and their highest isn't as
good
as the ATI was. Guess the PVR 250 would have been a better choice.
OOPS.
Oh well.......if someone knows of a seller of "bare" hardware, it would
probably be my best choice.
