Re: MCE2005 & ASUS P7131 mycinema tunner

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Dear Jason,

It worked like a charm, except that now I cannot select the RF input.
The guide has the correct info though. When I change the channel, I see
the info of the selected channel, but the Tv picture does not change.
The only way to tune a Tv channel now is through the VCR tunner. It
looks the MCE is only looking to the S-Video input.

An ideas how to have both - RF and S-Video selectable from MCE?

If I may, another question,

The RF input, when I had it, showed a Tv picture with a lot of 'grain'.
Far worse than when directly fed to the Tv.

I have Cyberlink decoder vs 6.0.1921 insralled as preferred decoder
(info from Xp checkup utility) The connection MCE->Tv is DMI->HDMI.
Would I improve the Tv picture if I upgrade or install another decoder?

The picture from DVD os S-Video is very good

thanks

Well you have the right remote installed and you also need to make sure it
has its "IR blaster" installed and you need to make it think you are
connected to a STB so that you can then "watch" Live TV when in fact you
have your Video VCR or whatever to watch.

Hello all,

I have a MCE2005 box with a ASUS P7131 my cinema tv grabber. the P7131
offers, besides the RF Input, a Video-Input. How can I, within MCE,
select this Video-In for watching?

Thanks
