I assume that your system has the Intel 915 graphics chip and I am
surprised that you could not update the driver using the driver from the
Intel Website.
If you are using an NTSC tuner I assume that you have 64MB or more of main
memory allocated to the 915 chip. If you are using an ATSC tuner I assume
that you have 128MB of main memory allocated.

No. Just choppy video. As well, I have read from other readers here that
video played correctly using windows media player. I have tried it, and
it
works fine with that program. However, I want it to work right using
media
center.

2nd brand new Dell Inspiron 6400. You read that right: I bought

phone with Dell techs for hours over several days was a

waste

time. They finally gave up and told me I needed a more powerful

than the integrated 256 mb one that came with the machine. One
customer

person told me that my particular configuration would not work
and
tried
to
sell me a more powerfull machine with MCE. I currently have a
dual
core
machine, 1GB RAM and a 100 GB SATA drive. Shouldn't that be
sufficient?
Finally Dell agreed to send me a 2nd identical machine: this
one
works
in
full screen but with unbearably choppy video. Ever try to watch
a
hockey
game
or any other sporting event like that? I have just about had it
and
am
darn
close to sending both machines back to Dell. If you have found
a
solution
I
would love to hear about it. I did find a few suggestions from
the
microsoft
knowledgebase that I am going to try re cleaning out temp and
dump
files
and
increasing my swap file, but I am not holding my breath. Here's
