The desire for an extender running on an XP box has been around almost
as long as extenders. Still nothing yet from Microsoft, but you might
take a look at Orb (www.orb.com), which gives you some extender
features.

All *I* want is a cheap extender... Doesn't need to play games, or DVD's,
etc... Just give me a TV interface remotely to my MCE PC.

But how do you run Orb on a VCR? I don't want a PC in the bedroom... JUST an
extender.
