It is up to you to allocate the memory to the onboard graphics card if it is
not done automatically.
I have Intel onboard 950/951 graphics with memry allocated and that is
capble of processing HDTV programs in MCE if I allocate 128MB.

Cheers for that just getting some updates but reckon a new graphics card
might be the way to go, no memory allocated to the onboard so will buy
new,
more money!!!DVD decoder is cyberlink power dvd

As long as your onboard graphics have DX9 support and at least 64MB of
memory allocated then you should have no problem with MCE. What onboard
graphics chip do you have?
Also what DVD Decoder software did you install?
You can run the following utility to see if it is compatible with MCE:

Also if you installed a TV tuner card which one did you install?

dvd playback software but still cannot watch anything through media
centre!!!
I have onboard graphics does this mean I need to buy a pci graphics
card
and
what spec should I purchase. Otherwise Media Centre works great with my
LCD tv
