Ok, so heres the deal,
I've got my Windows Media Center 2005 Rollup 2 set up and I am trying to
get
it connected with my Xbox 360. The problem is that the Add Extender
software
on the PC does not manage to find the Xbox 360.
Heres what I have done so far;
The Xbox 360 and PC are connected through a hub,
All Antivirus and Firewalls have been temporarily disabled,
Windows Media Connect works, and I can play music from my PC on my xbox
360,
so I know they can see each other.
I am entering in the 8 digit setup key correctly and leaving the 360 on
the
screen where it is given as instructed.
Upon trying to connect to the 360 it will return "Xbox 360 Not Found"
error.
It appears to search for devices, I guess using the security code for
something, but it results in nothing being found.
I have had it working previously, but I believe that was on an older
install
of windows,
I don't really want to do a fresh install of windows.
Does anyone know where it stores some of the registry settings for the
extenders... might rename it and see if that works.
Anyone else had similar problems.
Thanks in advance
Here is the latest dump from the log file,
