No, MCE 2005 will only do a clean installation. There is no upgrade path from the original Media Center.
No, you can't get a hard drive with it pre-installed, as the installer would have no idea of your hardware and in all likelyhood, it wouldn't boot. You'll have to purchase MCE and do the install yourself, or take it to a reputable computer shop/store and have them do it.

Is it possible to upgrade from the original MCE to 2005? I am going wireless.
and the Linksys Media center extender requires 2005 to work, right?
Also, can I get a new hard drive for an older Windows 2000 machine with MCE
2005 preinstalled?
