Re: Windows won't open: Exasperated!

The recovery partition is invokved with CTRL-F11 at the Dell logo. It
WILL wipe out everything on your hard drive, all programs, data, etc. and
put the machine back to factory fresh.

The recovery partition should be accessible from the BIOS POST screen. You
should see an option to press some key, often DEL to enter setup, and
another to perform a system recovery.

The Owners Manual is on the Desktop, which I cannot access without The
System
open. If I can't enter anything into DOS, and it isn't in Set-up, how
else
would I be able to access a partition?

If the laptop did not ship with a CD/DVD disc, then there is a recovery
partition on the hard drive. Consult your owner's manual, or contact Dell
for instructions on how to access this feature.

PLEASE, PLEASE HELP! I CANNOT GET WINDOWS TO OPEN!! Just as it
starts to
open the blue screen appears with it's message.

This is the blue screen message. It says to do these things, if it is
not
the first time seeing the screen.
" Disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk defragmentation or
back-up
utilities. Check your hard drive configuration for any updated
drivers. Run
CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption and then restart your
computer.

***STOP: NTFS.SYS - Address F83CBF81 Base at F837C000 Date

Now, since I have no access to DOS or Windows, how I'm supposed to do
these
things is beyond me! AND, these were originally loaded on the DEll
Laptop
Inspirion6000. I turned the Laptop off and entered setup to check
all
settings. They were the same as from the factory. Then, I tried all 4
recommended power ons, from last known and all 3 Safe; none of which
worked,
returning to the same message screen. I ran a complete diagnostic
which
found no errors, anywhere!
Then, I re-ran specific diagnostics and found no errors.

Since this is Version 2005 I can find nowhere online to assist. Can
someone
PLEASE help me! There was no Windows disc shipped with the Laptop and
I've
not had a chance to learn enough about XP to create one, even if this
would
help? So, NOW WHAT DO I DO? CAN SOMEONE HELP? i'VE ALREADY SPENT
24 HRS
RESEARCHING THIS AND TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT!

THANK YOU!!!!!!
