Re: media center extender unable to contact xbox 360

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

It looks like your PC is really slow to respond to requests from the Xbox
360, taking 5+ seconds in some cases. Could you provide the
make/model/driver version of your Ethernet card? Also, please try the
following:
1) Update your Ethernet card drivers to the latest version available from
your PC OEM or network card manufacturer
2) On your PC, open regedit (Start --> Run, "regedit", <enter>) and navigate
to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaCenterPeripheral\DeviceTable;
delete any entries you see under DeviceTable that look like
"00000000-0000-0000-xxxx-xxxxxxxxx" where the x's are lots of letters and
numbers
3) Reboot your PC
4) Attempt to connect again.

Todd,
I emailed the capture file as directed.
The capture is for the local area network interface which was
connected
directly to the xbox 360 system (no router involved). I actually
carried out steps from both your last posts. Uninstalled the media
extender software, got a new key, installed the extender sofware and
the support tools, started the capture and ran the setup for extender.
Got the same error as before after entering the keys.
Invalid Connection Data
The DvcConn has the same error too as I reported in my last post.
Security code exchange timed out.
