There are multiple reasons; a fundamental one is that buffering two streams
at once would exact a non-trivial CPU and memory usage tax on both the PC
and device.

Thanks Todd. That begs the question...Why doesn't the Xbox 360 Media
Extender
buffer the next song in the queue so that it's ready immediately following
the previous song?

Hi Everyone,

I'm using the Xbox 360 Media Extender. I've got my Xbox 360 connected
to
MCE
2005 with all of the latest MCE updates.

All of my music is in WMA Lossless format. But, when my music is
played
through the Xbox 360 Extender, I get gaps between songs on mixed CDs
where
there shouldn't be a gap.

Does anyone have a remedy to this situation?
