Re: XP user problems with IE

I have a second account on this (non-MCE) Windows XP Pro computer.

To test what Chris H. says, I just now started IE, then logged on to my other account. I successfully started IE on that account, and came back here to find IE still running OK. Then I went back to the other user & found IE still behaving OK there.

I grant that there might be something here I am not understanding, but it looks to me as though two accounts can use IE simultaneously on a single computer running Win XP Pro.

No, it is an Internet Explorer issue, and going back to the original post, yes, two separate users cannot use IE at the same time. It has nothing to do with Media Center Edition.

Chris-

I'd say I'll have to side with the other users here- this is an MCE-specific
problem. In fact, I just bought a new machine and it, too, experiences this
same issue. This BBS was the first place I looked for support because I know
this problem does not exist on other versions of XP. If you know of a
related thread on another board, please post a link. Otherwise, any chance
we can get an answer?

Thanks.
DJ

I suggest you post to a newsgroup where Internet Explorer is supported.
This newsgroup supports Media Center Edition functionalities, not IE.
