AFAIK new tuners with built in cable card slots such as the one shown at the
CES in January by ATI will be required.
Page 2 of the following Link has a picture of ATIs reference design.

Thanks Doug. I have a VBOX Cat's Eye DTA-150 coming in the mail, due to
arrive today. I'm assuming this should be fine once CableCard is added.

I don't personally recommend too many hardware products, as someone else
will always come along with their horror story about it.
However, I'm running an ATI X700 on one machine and an Nvidia 6600 GT on
the other. Whatever card you get, you'll want at least 256 meg of RAM on
it, particularly if you plan to add an HDTV card (or get HD over cable
when OCUR support is added).

Yes, Gary probably nailed it. It is a NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200. It just
may
not be up to snuff.
Is there one you recommend? I will be mostly interested in TV and
DVDs. I
have the 360 for gaming.
Thanks you very much for the help.

Additionally, if you have the PureVideo decoder did you download the
trial version? If so, did you register it? Once the trial period
expires you must register. Simply re-installing won't reset the trial
period.
But as Gary said, your video card may not be up to the task.

What video card is it?
It needs to be an Nvidia FX5200 or higher, or ATI Radeon 9500 or
higher, as
MCE2005 uses VMR9 (you'll need video cards that are capable of
DiretX9 in
hardware for VMR9 to be effectively used).
If your video card is older than the above, it's time for a new
video card
(that sounds like your issue, but without you listing your video
card
hardware, all we can do is guess).

Figured I would have to get a little more detailed. Thanks for the
help.
Here is what I can do:
-Watch video on the Internet on Media Player
-Watch live tv from my Xbox 360
-Listen to the radio on my PC (via the ATI TV Wonder Elite)
What I can not do:
-Watch DVD on my PC (neither through Media Player OR Media Center)
-Watch Live TV in Media Center (I have sound)
-I was not even able to watch the video on the Media Center Set Up
Wizard
(though I had sound)
The video on live TV is black and will flicker. I have sound, but
do not
have any images. The DVD will not even load
I have NVidia Pure Video, and all drivers SEEM up-to-date. I have
been
trying to make sure all devices and drivers are properly
configured, but
certainly something is not working correctly. The video card is
several
years old, borrowed from my last computer.

What is the exact problem you're experiencing? Any error
messages? And
when you refer to "video" are you talking about video files, or
Live or
Recorded TV?

Building an OEM MCE version and I'm having issues with the video
playback in
all settings. TV card is installed correctly and I'm able to
watch
video
from my MCE PC through Xbox360, but not on the PC itself.
Any ideas?
