helo....this message has helped one of my problems :D
but i'm still stuck with video clips on my pc that i can only watch with
windows media player.....media center won't recognize them....
it's an hour i've been searching the net for an answer, but i can't find
it....
i had found once on a web site, the same solution that u gave for the pictures
but they gave it for video's (too bad my video's were working good bak then,
i
didnt add the web site to my favorites and i cant find it anymore)
so im wondering and hoping really hard that you can help me out

Run REGEDIT from the Start/Run dialog.

I bought a brand new Dell XPS gen 5 computer a few months ago.
I was told by Dell sales that the Media centre edition was amazing and

I thought that I may need to use the remote -( which I don't have) to
teach
MEDIA CENTRE the location of the photos. Today, Dell tech support told me
that I need to buy the TV tuner card , remote and all the related hardware
to
view my pictures in Media centre. But at Dell support -- 4 different techs
were not sure on that one.
Can anyone help me out on this one.
If it is true that I need the TV tuner card and remote +cabling why does
DELL not say this in the beginning when they promote the Media edition
There is some info in MEDIA CENTRE help?? that says the remote should be
used to add pictures to media centre, like the remote links folders.

Might be worth getting Windows to re-create the My Pictures folder. Not
quite sure how to do this but I think windows will do it automatically
if
you delete the existing one. I think I'd try moving the pictures to a
new
folder then deleting "My Pictures" and see if windows recreates it.
Then
move the pictures back. Might be worth checking on the web to see if
there
is a way to force Windows to recreate the My Pictures folder incase it
doesn't do so automatically.
