What happens if you right-click the file name and select Copy from the popup
menu?
Does it only do this on one specific file, and the others work fine?

Brand New Media Center Computer.
When I open My Pictures and highlight a file, under file and folder tasks
on
the left side of the screen, I click copy this file, the hourglass shows
and
then the message box to end now or cancel shows up. I don't even get the
window that allows me to pick the destination for the file. I can copy and
paste by using the Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V commands. Restore back to an earlier
date does not fix it. HELP! PLEASE
