He is right it is the network card. i just pulled one out of another computer
and popped it in my 7470 and boom live tv works like a charm. thx Mr. Todd.

Just added an X-Box 360 to our brand new HP7470N. When we click "My Tv" then
"Live TV" we get a splash of audio for a split second and then everything
locks up...the computer totally freezes. The only way to recover is to power
down the PC.
The message on the X-Box TV is; "Session Terminated". "Another user or
application on Windows Media Center based PC has disconnected this device."
When we try to reconnect it looks for the PC but replies with "unable to
contact PC"...this is because the PC has locked up. We do have a TV signal at
the PC and all works well at the PC's Monitor.
We are using the X-Box 360 Microsoft Wireless Adapter that connects to a
Linksys router.
"My Pictures", "My Music" all work fine.
