I resolved the problem.
I set the service to manual in the services. instead of auto.
Don't know what the outcome will be yet.

Hi Doug
Thanks for the quick comeback.
That is what i thought. But why does it take so long to do its thing on
bootup ? My xbox is shut off at the time i boot, except for the network
cable running to it.
Is it looking for the xbox,if so , how do i stop it.
I don't believe i should have to waite 2 minutes for the program to
initiate.
There must be something causeing this that i can fix or redo.
Does everyone useing MCE 2005 have this long a waite for bootup?
I sure would like to be able to fix this.

This service is related to Windows Media Connect. This is what allows you
to access the content on your PC from your XBox 360.

Hi All
I have home built pc = 3.2 mhz cpu , 2 gig of memory , ATI Radeon 9550
Video
card. AsusP4800-E-Deluxe board.
I bought Windows media center 2005 at retail store, installed it and all
works ok , EXECPT
when i boot up pc ,it takes about 2 minutes for the pc to be useable
after
desktop comes up.
In task manager there is a task running at 15-25 percent CPU usage. The
task is (wmccds) , under username it says
(Network Service) .
I have my xbox360 conected to my pc via network cable.
No tv or anything else conected to pc.
What is causeing this to take so long to let my pc be up and usable.
This is the only error i find in the event viewer. (the following
boot-start
or system-start driver(s) failed to load. Intellde
Can someone shed a little light on this for me.
Thanks
