Re: 1024x720?

Try setting both your desktop and your DVI resolution to 1280x720@60Hz yur
desktop will look squeezed on a standard PV 4:3 square pixel monitor but
should be correct on your TV.
Maybe Powerstrip can solve your problem, but since I have never used it I
don't know.

Desktop is at 1024x768. Tried 1280x720, but that produces a stripe at the
right border with lots of flicker and chaos.
Using DVI connection to both the PC and the DVD player (Samsung). The
latter, as I mentioned, works fine, but has some special setting.
1024x720 is indeed not that unusual...
Cheers,
Rob

What interface are you using?
What resolution is your desktop set to?

Did that already, get some fuzzy border on one side of the screen. Had
a
similiar problem with the DVD, but that has a special mode B to deal
with
this problem.

Your HDTV has retangular pixels instead of square pixels so a PC
desktip
will look strange when using some interfaces. It is designed however
to
support standard HD resolutions such as 720p and 1080i and when it
receiving
these over some nterfaces such as DVI or HDMI it "eliminates" every
5th
pixel in a row so that the picture image is not distorted. I suggest
that
you try sending it 720p (1280x720@60Hz).

My HDTV runs on 1024x720 resolution, which is not supported by the
NVidia
6800 graphics card built into my Dell PC. Hence I am using 1024x768,
which
results in a distorted image. Any ideas how to stretch the image in
the
vertical axis? The zoom option in the Media Center is not enough.
Thanks,
Rob
