the files are in a folder
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Recorded TV
using Nero you can covert them to DVD and burn them for use in standard DVD
you do require certain codecs to convert the MCE video file format which
come with Nero.
you can get them from other places and use other DVD authoring software.
Hope that helps a bit

I'm just starting to use Media Center 2004. Where are all the recorded
kept (The actual location on the hard drive, not going through MCE's
interface), and is there anyway to either convert them into a different
format, or burn them to a DVD?
