Re: Rebuilt PC, drive letter change results in Recorded TV lost to

And you could also specify directories that are invalid/not accessible by
the recorder service..

In terms of the OP's original question, TweakMCE wasn't really needed in
that context.

"TweakMCE" allows you to specify both the drive and a specific
directory...

The default recorded tv folder (and the default watched folder) when

Users\Documents\Recorded TV

That's where your Recorded TV should go.

That said, I'd advise you put your recorded tv on a different drive just
to
keep your system and data files apart.

Hi,

I used to have Recorded TV on the D drive of my MCE PC.
I have subsequently rebuilt the machine due to reliability issues
(including
a suspect system hard drive).
Windows used to be on drive C, Recorded TV on drive D.

I installed a new high capacity hard drive, single partition, installed
Windows to this partition (C:) and have subsequently copied the
contents
of
D:\Recorded TV to C:\Recorded TV.

MCE is set to use the C drive to record TV, it had already created the
C:\Recorded TV folder, BUT, all the programs I copied from D:\Recorded
TV
to
the C:\Recorded TV do not show up in MCE...
I can add them all to "My Videos" but this interface is ugly and
impossible
to use (due to the large icons as opposed to the clearer list format).
Why doesn't MCE "see" all of the TV shows under the c:\Recorded TV
folder?

Do I have to TELL MCE to redect these files or something?

Thanks

Sid
