The options in the ATI Catalyst Control Center for Vivo deinterlace settings
are:
- Auto-detect (recommended)
- Bob
- Motion adaptive
- Vector adaptive
- Adaptive
- Weave (no deinterlacing)

I'm playing with theese settings because I get terrible ghosting in DVD
playback and Live TV with my new X1600 XT graphics card. The picture has
degraded compared with my old X700 PRO card.

The default setting in the ATI Catalyst Manager for Vivo de-interlace
settings is Auto (whatever that means).

I use the Nvidia decoder and it's de-interlace settings is set to Auto.

Back to my original question:

When I have ATI Vivi de-interlace settins set to Weave and I start Live
TV, I get no picture.

Why does this happend?

AFAIK Weave would mean to use inter field de-interlacing and not
intrafield de-interlacing.
Also the X1600 is suppoesed to do an excellant job of interfield
de-interlacing based on the review I have read.
What was the default setting before you changed it?
What DVD Decoder are you using amd do you have any de-interlacing
options with it?

I have a Media Center computer with a Hauppauge PVR250-MCE TV Tuner and
an ATI X1600 XT graphics card with the Catalyst 6.3 drivers installed.

When I set the Vivo setting for deinterlacing to Weave (no
deinterlace), I get no picture when I start Live TV.

Does anyone have a clue to why this happends?
