I'm not exactly sure what you're saying here. If you boot your system on the
hard drive, it blue screens? So you're trying to use the Recovery Console on
the boot CD but it won't allow logon using the Administrator password? If
that's the case, then it sounds like your hard disk is seriously toasted...

Have you contacted HP's support?

I can start it from the CD. Blue screens from c drive install. From cd it
won't allow logon to windows installation. I've checked group policy,
registry settings. Not able to find any settings that prevent it in
either
of these locations.

I have a HP 7300y PC with Media Center 2005. Help!
