You don't need to hook to a TV if you'd rather watch on your monitor. You
might have a problem with the DVD decoder software, or the graphics drivers,
or even the audio drivers. Could you give us more info on exactly what
hardware and drivers you're running?

In an earlier post I mentioned I am having trouble watching Live TV (I
usually get a blank screen, sometimes a still picture, NO audio). It has
been suggested by both tech support and my cable company that I need to
hook
up the PC to the TV, or at least have the cable split through to a TV set.
Is this accurate?
I am using a flat screen monitor w/ DVI input that I purchased with the
PC.
