HI,
Thanks for the reply I am using the DVB-T but I had this PC running before
with another MaBo and it wasnt cutting the picture at all. That Mabo was
faulty so I have replaced it with a new one and reinstalled and since that I
am getting the skipping video.
Also as you said I have a freeview box a cheap sagem one and it works fine
using it...

Hi all,
I have this problem I have just installed my new MCE and when watching
Live / Recorded TV the video skips from time to time this is really
annoying and doesnt appear when watching DVD only Live or Recorded TV
My Graphics card is :
HIS Excalibur Radeon 9250 128 Mb
My TV card is:
Haupage 1300 MCE Dvb-t
I have latest drivers installed for both of these cards and I have the
latest updates on the MCE as well as rollout 2
Any Help very welcome
The Hauppauge card is a hybrid that does analogue or DVB-T (Freeview) but I
assume from your posting that you are using the DVB-T portion. When you receive
& record DVB-T the MPEG2 stream is recorded direct to disk so when played back
it has just the same quality as the original broadcast.
I suspect what you are seeing is glitching in the received transmission due to
marginal signal strength. A bigger, better aerial may be necessary or simply a
cheap signal booster may suffice. All the DVB-T cards appear to be less
sensitive i.e. require a higher signal strength than even the cheapest Freeview
Set Top Box.
