Re: MCE doesn't find my Xbox 360

Two things are happening here:
- There's a problem either with your router or with the wireless network
adapter on your PC that preventing necessary network traffic from getting
through. To determine which component is the source of the issue, try
connecting both your PC and Xbox 360 via Ethernet to your router. If you
don't see the timeout, the wireless adapter is the problem; if you still see
the timeout, it's the router
- Something else is causing the session terminated issue; once you get
yourself in a state where you're past the timeout, but are seeing session
terminated, please check the Application, System, and Security Event Viewer
logs (right click My Computer --> Manage) for any errors corresponding to
the time that you tried to connect and then post them here.

And had the 360 reset the key and tried a third time for the night and I'm
back to it failing at the verifying key stage.

Also, it would be helpful if you could temporarily connect your PC

router via an Ethernet cable in order to eliminate the wireless side

type of behavior that a user encountered when using a wireless
adapter on
their PC that did not carry the Designed for Windows XP Media Center
Edition
logo...

Cable modem to router. The 360 is wired to the router (have tried

ports) and the PC is connected to the router via SuperG wireless.

full access to the internet. I had Norton AV 2006 installed (when
