On 2/12/2006, DF managed to type:
When I logged on today, my taskbar was different... The Icons were listed all the way over to the right in a vertical column. As I aadjust the size of my taskbar, it will shown only an incremental number of icons:(1 for each row in height as I adjust it).
In addition, although the status bar is enabled in my Internet Explorer...NO status is shown at the bottom of the screen as pages or page items load.
This all happened between logging off and logging on a few hours apart.
I can't seem to find any references to this problem.
If your taskbar is locked, unlock it (right click on an empty part of the taskbar and select unlock). It might be easier to do this if you close some or all applications, otherwise it can be hard to find an empty spot.
Left click on an empty part of the taskbar and drag it where you want it. It can be put on any edge of the screen.
You can resize it by clicking on the free edge while the mouse cursor is a double arrow.
When you're done, relock it if required (you probably should).
By the way, this is a newsgroup for Windows Media Center Edition, as its name indicates, not for general Windows questions.
