Are you running the XP/MCE 81.89 drivers for your video card?
Are you using the NVIDIA 1.185 DEVD Decoder? If yes do you have
de-interlacing control mode set to Video or Automatic and not to Smart?
Is you SATA controller chip a SIL3112?

I have a home built Media PC with the following specs:
2.8 GHz Celeron D processor
1 GB PC3200 DDR memory
eVGA NVidia GeForce 6600GT video card
80 GB IDE hard drive (system)
200 GB SATA hard drive (media, recorded TV)
Hauppauge 500MCE dual tuner card
Avermedia AVerTVHD MCE A180 HDTV tuner card
MS Windows XP MCE 2005
The problem I'm havingL: I watched the Super Bowl (and have watched other
HDTV shows), and the picture occasionally "jumps" or "stutters".
Specifically, the picture freezes for a half a second or so, then
restarts,
and I lose audio for a second or two. This happens intermittently--no
discernable pattern....but on average about once every minute or two.
Otherwise picture quality is great.
What do you think the cause is? Is there a bottleneck in my system? I
suspect it's either my video card (runs hot...around 68C) or my SATA hard
drive. Perhaps it's related to system temps (around 45-55 C depending on
load). Not really sure.
Please let me know what you think and feel free to provide recommendations
for resolution.
