Re: MEDIA CENTER RARELY RECORDS!!!

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Heck... Check the specs for the Dell 4600 I computer... I highly doubt that
IT is even rated as Windows XP muchless XP Media Center compliant!!!

I got the SP2 update disc from Microsoft for Wincows XP, and when trying to
install it, it seemed to work, until my computer got rebooted... Then it
suddenly reported that it was "unable to find needed video drivers... Please
re-install drivers for your all-in-wonder card"

When I contacted Microsoft about the problem, they told me "it's NOT a
problem with anything of ours... Contact Dell."

When I contacted Dell about the probelm, THEY told me my system IS FULLY SP2
compliant and I "will have NO problem installing the SP2 update." Then, when
I told them that after installing the SP2 update, my system REFUSES TO RUN
and tells me that it can't find any drivers for my video system, Dell tells
me "No problem... just restore your system to just before the update and it
will work fine."

I'm tired of the run-around!!! Microsoft tells me it's a problem with
Dell's hardware... Dell tells me "There's no problem anywhere." But my
computer disagrees with BOTH Microsoft's answer, AND Dell's answer.

Know of any place where I can get an HONEST answer to my problems???
