On 1/11/2006, chuck managed to type:
I am setting up a new WMCE54AG to communicate to the MCE computer via a Netgear WGR614V2 wireless router, and get the setup program completed.
The WMCE indicates it is connected to the wireless network with an excellent signal. I enter my WEP. The setup program proceeds normally until it needs to communicate with the WMCE. It searches for the network and I get a message, - ‘if you have a static IP address, please enter it below’. I do not have a static IP, I have it set to dynamic. So, I entered the IP address of my router and still no luck.
Any ideas you have would sure be welcomed. Thanks in advance,
Chris
You say the message is "if you have a static IP address, please enter it below".
You say "I do not have a static IP".
Therefore, do NOT enter an IP address...
I have no idea if this will work, but it surely seems worth trying.
