No, Rollup 2 shoudn't have any impact on first generation extenders.
If you can, right click on the Network Connection icon in the system tray, and select, Change Windows Firewall Settings. If the firewall is enabled, then go to the Exceptions tab. Make sure that the Remote Desktop and Remote Media Center Experience exceptions are checked (enabled).
If you don't find one, or both of these entries, post back, and I'll give you the details of how to add them.
