Hi Jukka,

If the computer is automatically logging on, you can correct this by going to Start, Run and entering CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2. On the General tab, check the box users must enter a username and password.

For the RDP behavior that you're seeing, this is normal for a standard user account. Only one normal user can be active on the machine at a time. Extender devices use their own accounts, and they are treated differently so they can be logged on, while there is still an active user at the console.

Try Jason's advice of using the newer software for the XBox 360 and its Extender functionality.

If it is installed highlight it and click Uninstall.

If not, right click the {4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} and select Export. This creates a backup REG file that can be re-imported by double clicking it. Now double click the UpperFilters value and change it to read PartMgr. Now try to reconnect with the Extender. A reboot should not be necessary, but you never know. If you have multiple entries in the UpperFilters value, post back before you make any changes.
