Re: MCE 2004 Video Error

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Michel, I have considered upgrading but Dell does not support an upgrade
from CME 2004 to MCE 2005 for the hardware configuration I have which is a
Dell 4600C running an All-In-Wonder ATI low profile tuner. Apparently there
aren't any drivers for this hardware. From what I could find online, there
have been some people that have "made it work" on their own with many hours
and dollars invested. So, it doesn't seem like a viable option and it
certainly isn't supported by Dell. (It seems there were a LOT of people that
wanted to upgrade but were turned away... not good for customer loyalty and
it certainly hasn't helped the adoption of MCE 2005 for people like me that
were willing to do it, even at some cost!)

If anyone has a success story upgrading my configuration to MCE 2005, I
would like to hear about it. Thanks. (I may start a new post on that
subject.)
