Have you allowed WinUpdate or any other source to update any MCE related
software? If you possibly accepted some driver updates to your tuner or
graphics card then you should get the latest from the card manufacturers
Websites since WinUpdate drivers are often months old and have been known
cause problems.
Can you still a previously recorded TV program or a DVD with MCE?
Also you might want to try a Restore point from before you had problems.
