Since Intel has been working very closely with MS on future MCE systems I
believe that the 915 chip with 128MB of memory available has the 10GB/sec of
memory bandwidth which is enough for 1080i HD video programs with and HD
tuner card and the card is certainly adequate for 720p programs from an HD
tuner and is absolutely no problem outputting HD resolutions from other
sources.
If you don't want to use a VGA connection to your display you can buy an
Intel ADD2 PCI card for $25-$35 which has a DVI interface for the 915 chip
set.
