Is it possible that the HD audio is much lower than standard definition TV
and that you just need to turn up the volume? Barring that, do you have an
equalizer on the reciever? If so, check the frequencies around 3khz and
ensure that you have not attenuated them accidently. The other thing you
might want to check is whether you have one of the surround modes or sound
modes turned on. Depending upon the HD content, you may have the wrong mode
for the content.
Of course, given the lack of detail in your post, these are all shots in the
dark! :)
Does SD television play and sound correct for you as well as DVDs? Is it
*just* HDTV that is a problem?
