The main thing is to make sure your video card is up to the task. If you
decide to add a tuner and remote control, those should be on the supported
list also. The list of officially supported hardware is here:

Your P2, 512Mb, and 40Gb hard drive should be good enough, although if you
decide you like Media Center and want to use it to record TV, you'll also
want to add a big hard drive (look for the sales next Friday!). You can also
get a supported video board on sale Friday - see www.bfads.net for advance
sale information.
