If your Xbox 360 has a composite video output, it should be colored Yellow. The Red and White are stereo audio outputs.
You can use the 3-cable Component cable to connect the Composite/Stereo outputs from your Xbox 360 to the Composite/Stereo inputs of your TV.
Note that this advice is very generic in nature. I don't have an Xbox 360 myself, so I would advise you to refer to the documentation before you start using it. Hope this helps.

so i can connect the yellow, white, red color connector that comes with the Component HD AV Cable only and it will work?

The cable itself will work. But you can't connect a component output to a composite input.
