Got MCE drivers from Hauppauge web site. After several starts and restarts
got WinTV 2000 to set up channels. But when computer is restarted, WniTV 2000
gives the following error message:
WinTV32
Failed to create TV window, hTV=0xd80810 Err=8
Trying to run WinTV 32 gives similiar message with "hTV=0xf37690 Err=8".
When WinTV 2000 was recognized, I tried Media Center and got the same
messages that I sent last time.
When trying to do "Settings" in Media Center and setting up the Program
Guide, I get the following mesage after I enter my Zip Code:
Download Incomplete
We were unable to locate any Program Guide information for the following
reason:
Completed Successfully
If it was successful, the Media Center should work, right?
After I click to go to the next screen, the following is displayed:
You're Done!
The Program Guide is not configured to work with Media Center. You can watch
TV, but your guide information may be missing or inaccurate. The following
settings will be saved:
Program Guide : Not Configured
Select Finish to exit.
When Finish is selected I get the errors
ehshell.exe - Common Language Runtime Debuging Services
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=9exc8(3748), Thread id=0x5a8(1448)
Click OK to terminate application
Click CANCEL to debug application
and
ehshell.exe No debugger found
Registered JIT debugger is not available. An attempt to launch JIT debugger
with the following command resulted in an error code of 0x2(2).
cordbg.exe !a0xec8
Click Retry to have the process wait while attaching a debugger manually.
Click Cancel to abort the JIT debug request.
After clicking "cancel" in each of the error messages, this terminates in
"Send Error nformation to Microsoft" dialog box.
What do I try now?
