RE: IR Blaster missing first digit to STB when recording programme

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

With all of the current updates, including Rollup 2, I haven't needed to
tweak any settings in the registry.

What I found is after installing Rollup 2 you have to re-run the TV settings
wizard to get the updated IR controls. I found the medium setting (which has
very quick channel changing compared to what we were using) works about 99.5%
of the time.

Since it still missed one of the digits once in a blue moon (now it was
missing the last digit) I changed it to slow and it's been switching channels
100% perfectly ever since (but annoying at about the same slow speed as the
registry modifications did).
