Major 2005 Rollup 2 Problems

I've had some big problems with Rollup 2 like many others. I had a great working Media Center 2005 until I installed Rollup 2, after this, jerky video, skipping tv and other problems. I assumed this may just be a bad Rollup 2 install so I removed it along with .NET Framework updates.

Trying to reinstall the Rollup 2 now states that "Media Center 2005 is required to install this update" so its now basically telling me I can't install it.

Also I can run Media Center at the moment but scanning for tv signals bring no channels (they worked fine before and runs fine on other PC's)

Any help would be great, seems like its a real mess now though.
