Re: MCE 2005/ISA 2000 Client Upgrade - Suddenly MCE Can't Access I

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

I think it may have let me do the domain attachment because I'm connecting to
Win2003 Server set up as a Small Business Server 2003. Because of this,
there's a SBS2003 utility you run off the server when you want to set a
client up for SBS2003 - part of which attaches the client to the SBS2003
domain. I expect this utility did the necessary 'tweaking' without me
knowing about it.

In any case, MCE2005 was unable to get at the Internet whether it was on or
off the domain (I removed it manually from the domain to test this out).
Seems that it's an issue with going through Microsoft Internet Security and
Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000 - which is installed alongside SBS2003 on the
server. As mentioned originally, all other applications (e.g. Internet
Explorer) are able to access the Internet through this configuration, but
MCE2005 cannot.
