OT: Not going MCE. Bought a Topfield 5800PVRT
I have waited and waited and waited but it seems that to get a laptop with
MCE and dual DTTV tuners and a reasonable level of confidence is going to
take a long time.
So I have decided to cut-and-run and buy a PVR with USB 2.0
Most of the time it will just be a PVR. On those relatively rare occasions
when I need to use DVD R/W I can do it over USB (hopefully).
And the total cost is not so different (I can now buy a pretty standard
laptop where there is plenty of price competition).
And when I go away, the PVR can stay at home and record series for me (160
Gbyte disc included in the £266).
So, fingers crossed.
