RE: how to get 1080i display??

Did you run through the "TV Setup" on the MCE2005 machine? If you do not run
though this setup, the MCE2005 machine will not send a 16:9 signal to the TV.
When it does send the 16:9 signal, it will send the 4:3 pciture correctly.
Otherwise, it is sending a 4:3 picture to you 16:9 TV and it will be confused.
Does CNN look correct? If it is not 4:3 with bars on the side, hit the
button on the remote labled "Wide". (upper left corner, beside picture)
That should cycle through: Wide Zoom, Normal, Full, Zoom. (according to the
manual, page 46)
Once you add the HD Tuner, you will be able to view HD content..
