In reading the readme that comes with the driver installation utility, it
says the targetted chipset is the 945G chipset... while I have the 945P. The
more and more I look at it
After extracting all the drivers from the self executable, I tried to tell
the driver update applet that I had a disk and pointed to the 945.INF file.
There were two PCI listings for the 945 chipset listed. I selected each
one, but when I tried to install it, I got a blunt warning about how windows
can't verify it works with my hardware and how the comptuer may stop working
all together... not sure if a system restore or boot with last known good
config would undo this so I haven't tried it, but they look like that I'm in
search of. They are:
Intel 945G/P PCI Express Root Port - 2771
Intel 945G/P Processor to I/O Controller - 2770
Ideas?
