Re: Chugging video & garbled audio when watching live/recorded TV

The motherboard is an Intel D945PSN... I blogged the part-list for the box

It uses the 945 chipset. The MB came with a CD which I used to install the
drivers, minus the audio drivers (because I wasn't using the onboard audio,
and when I tried to install them the first time, they blew up in my face).

Good lead... I just checked and the unknown PCI device is location: PCI BUS
0, Device 27, funciton 0

I checked the others and they all listed a slot... so I jumped on the Intel
site, found new drivers specifically MCE for the chipset. Downloaded them
(along with the latest NVIDIA decoder) and in the process of installing now.
I'll let you know how it turns out.

If this works, let me buy you a drink in Redmond at the end of September! ;)
