Re: Need hd card recommendation

First problem is that MCE won't work with just a HD Tuner. It also has to
have an NTSC tuner installed, and it won't accept the one that is part of the
HD card. GOTCHA!!!

I have an eVGA card that I bought for less than $50. It works, and best of
all it came with an OEM copy of the NVIDEA decoder. I also have an ATI HDTV
Wonder that works well. I can pick up all the networks from about 30 miles
away using a $25 antenna in my attic.

For a sound card, assuming that your motherboard does not have SPDIF out, I
have a Turtle Beach Riveria that cost under me $30. It is connected to my
Yamaha receiver with an optical cable. Don't forget to set you decoder to
pass thru mode.
