Re: HDTV and Nvidia 6600GT help

Dear all,

I do have the same problem, however, you need to do several things to
learn and adjust the PC --> Drivers --> Display Configuration -> Your TV
capability

Most mid-class DLP, Plasma (1800-2500) are more common in 480i/480p
However advanced timings of display adapter might help us to get the right
resolution!!

--> try forceware display manual guide for 72.14 MCE Nvidia driver, you
might get it right!!
(me trying too hehehe)!!!

I have GF 6600 256MB AGP, my philips plasma can take HDMI, so I connect
DVI-to-HDMI cable to my plasma. However, I needed to check what resolution
my philips can handle the display input from the GF6600, so my philips can
take

EDTV 640x480 @ 480p EDTV (a)
EDTV 720x480 @ 480p EDTV (b)
EDTV 720x576 @ 576p EDTV
EDTV 1920x1080i

So I keep trying but no matter what I configure, (a), (b) case just like
David's.
I keep reading the ForceWare Display Manual Guide, there are some certain
area
we might pay attention:

--> Advanced Timings in ForceWare might adjust the right solution in DVI
connection
Advanced Timings might be available in FX5700, GF6600, 6800..depend on what
configuration of your graphic card.

--> For Dan's, I do have the RADEON 9800 pro, when you install the radeon
driver
for MCE 2005, you have to download from ATI and make sure it is for RADEON
driver
for MCE2005, you will get the HDTV configuration from ATI drivers. However,
I did
keep configuring the ATI HDTV resolution for mine, (honestly,,ATI Radeon
9800 pro
performs better than GF6600 in DVD, TV performance :-) ). But I kept
selecting my TV
as HDTV, so there is no correct resolution for my TV in ATI Display
configuration. You might
try not to set the ATI Display configuration for showing HDTV standard
formart, you might
see 480i/480p format as in the ATI display configuration
