A few stupid questions about MCE 2005

1) Do I have to leave my computer on 24/7 in order to record
televisionprograms, or can my computer automatically be awakened (from cold
boot, suspend, hibernate) based on a set recording schedule?

2) Does the Media Center program physically need to be opened in order to
record, or is it able record transparently in the background?

3) How seamlessly can one record and *watch* television while the computer
is being used for everyday tasks: playing games, web browsing, word
processing etc?

4) Is it possible to connect to MCE 2005 via Windows XP SP2 using
RemoteDesktop?
